The
Chair is probably the most important role in the youth council, because
they run the meeting and are the first port of contact for agencies and
young people alike. We don’t just exist in order to try and solve the
problems for young people - although that is a fine use for us. It is
hoped that as a youth council we provide a representative view of young
people for places like the Winchester City Council to come and ask our
opinions on plans for the future that will effect us. This has happened
in the past and will again, and it is good to be actively shaping the
future.
